yes, actually i think i did see some of those busted capybaras.those things creep me out. oh! and the cool giraffe/zebra concoctions. i took a lot of those pics for lesley. and the lion was huffing and roaring its Aslanian roar at the noisy peacocks and the whole area froze for five minutes and there wasn't even a peacock feather that fell because they were trying to be so quiet. and there were capuchins and bilivian gray titi, and squirell monkeys and gorillas afraid of the rain.
there was a gorilla who spotted the wildlife conservatory volunteer who was talking to me(she noticed i was taking avid observational notes like a dork) and he banged on the glass playfully. that was really cool. i didn't get to see any tarsiers, but i think they were in the "world of darkness" room.
there was this ebony languor who urinated in a perfect stream, but i missed the picture.
the asia part was awesome, such huge fish! and turtles with pointy noses(but i am sure they were still nice and not snooty.)
and we had the park to ouselves, practically. and we drank beer and are curly fries.
missed the baboons.
and the bears
and a lot of things but its a pretty large zoo
i wanted to hit up the giftshop for some postcards but we were the stragglers of the park after it had closed.
i totally want to go again, but not when it's crowded.
went to penn to have dinner at the railroad tracks restaraunt, drank some beer and ate some chicken and fought with myself for wanting to go on a long island train to my boo when i have a paper to do.
i have 3 rolls of film from the zoo! you should see my pics. i don't have a scanner, so just come over when they are developed!
oh! all this after i willed "i wanna dance with somebody" to come on at breakfast.
man oh man, what a great day.

i may get used to capybaras, but they are too large for me to handle right now. you grow up around mice and hell, even huge rats in the city but then there are things such as 3 ft rodents!? that freaks me out.
oldschoo' whit*neh is amazing.
there was a children's zoo, which consisted of caged children playing on ropes that looked like vines (just like the monkeys).
sky gondolas and trollies.
no robots, i was dissapointed.
zombies, definatly, but they mostly came in the form of parents.
we should go to the zoo together!
we'll all go but we'll have to trick chris because he thinks they are depressing, but i think he'll love it. he's gonna be hard to convince because my beer+monkey argument didn't go over too well
