Andreas Vesalius

you should check this stuff out. Andreas Vesalius was one of the first people in the 16th century to study the anatomy of humans. he illustrated his findings- that is the cool part- the illustrations are amazing. he would carefully draw skeletons, but in these weird poses like resting its chin in its hand in bored frustration. so creepy, but so cool.

i love those drawings! i have a fantastic book to show that is filled with them.

i think vesalius was one of the first to get his grip on human cadavers to study, criminals mostly, and do the first autopsies.

man, i should have stuck with medical history. could have made a fortune...

yea, he was. before that, all the knowledge about internal organs was from the mushy insides of sheep and cows.

you totally should have because then you could teach me everything you know cause that shit is totally interesting. (and you could finish the rest of my paper about the plague of 1665- i'm writing about those whacky quacks and white witches).
